Angie Rooke:
Contemporary Landscape Artist
Angie Rooke
Painter Angie Rooke lives on the edge of the Somerset levels in her home overlooking mystical Glastonbury Tor. Inspired by the amazing subject matter all around her; the unique character of the low-lying moors: lush in summer but bleak in the stillness of midwinter, the steep wooded hills, hidden valleys, ancient orchards and small farms.

Angie looks to paint the mysterious elements that attract people to certain places and to go beyond the ordinary to find an atmospheric solitude; somewhere to escape to.

With three young children to care for painting times are confined to school hours and getting out for country walks with the children gives plenty of inspiration for the working week.

Angie Rooke is a self taught painter who regularly exhibits in the South West. Angie also undertakes portrait commissions of country homes such as Madonna's in Wiltshire and has work in Private collections in America, Australia and Europe.
